Fifth Third Park in Spartanburg
Previously, the Spartanburgers were named the Down East Wood Ducks but were renamed after announcing they would move to Spartanburg starting in the 2025 season. A major selling point for the move was the promise of a new ballpark. The new stadium is named Fifth Third Park after team owners agreed to a naming rights deal with Fifth Third Bank.
The park cost $425 million to build and holds a little over 5,000 people for games. Fifth Third Park combines all the traditional things people love about a gorgeous stadium with the modern amenities we’ve all come to expect during the technology era. In addition the lush grass and perfectly groomed dirt you’d expect to find at a professional ballpark, it also features beautiful views from all seats and the latest in technological comforts to create an exciting atmosphere.
Notably, the ballpark will be more than just a venue for baseball’s top prospects to showcase their talents; it will also host all sorts of community events, including concerts, festivals, and other outdoor games and shows.
The Spartanburgers’ season begins April 15th and runs through the first week of September. There will be all sorts of giveaways and special promotions for fans to celebrate the team’s inaugural season!
